As a barrister, Martin was involved
in the following property law matters:
•2014--Appearing (as junior) in an appeal in the Land Appeal Court in respect of a compulsory acquisition matter. Issues included: (a) special value to the owner; (b) adjoining owner influence; (c) whether good quality agricultural land; (d) whether supply of water to land feasible. Appellants (former landholders) unsuccessful on appeal. See:

•Appearing (as junior) in a complicated and novel compulsory acquisition matter involving a trust. An introductory point of law was litigated through the Land Court, the Land Appeal Court, and finally in the Court of Appeal. The compensation sought is in excess of $10m. See:
