Martin was a barrister for nearly 20 years.
Since 2017, he is now an "Australian Legal Practitioner", acting as a solicitor and advocate.

Admitted to the register of practitioners of the High Court of Australia in 1997.
Admitted to the roll of barristers of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1997.
Admitted to the roll of solicitors of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1995.
He has degrees in Master of Taxation and in Master of Laws (Hons), as well as his undergraduate degrees.
Martin can advise you on many different areas of law, however his primary knowledge-base is in estate planning, business structuring, tax and super, litigation, contracts, property and crime.

Chronology
2009--Graduated with Master of Taxation from University of New South Wales.
1997--Graduated with Master of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology.
1997--Admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and commenced practice at the private bar in Queensland.
1996--Commenced work as the associate to Mr Justice McPherson in the Court of Appeal of Queensland.
1995--Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, however, commenced work as the associate to Judge Hoath in the District Court of Queensland.
1993--Commenced articles of clerkship with Morris Fletcher and Cross (who later became Minter Ellison Morris Fletcher, and then Minter Ellison).
1992--Graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Bond University.
1991--Graduated with Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University.
